But he did not ask for permission or tell colleagues he was on stage while supposedly working, which the force claims was “dishonest”.

He has left the force after 25 years, but faces a misconduct probe which will decide whether his conduct was so serious he would have been fired anyway.

Its decision could affect his pension and leave him barred from re-joining another force.

Sessions, who also does solo renditions of The Rat Pack and Madness, posts numerous videos of his crooning online.

The married dad of two is also separately accused of breaching the Met’ssocial media and online rules several times between December 2021 and January 2023.

It includes uploading a picture of himself wearing police uniform to Twitter and posting a “series of discriminatory and/or bullying tweets”.

When The Sun went to speak to the ex-cop — who appeared on the X Factor in 2007 — at his terraced home in Enfield, North London, he shook his head and said: “No.”

Sessions, who worked in the Crime Recording Investigation Bureau, is accused of breaching standards over discreditable conduct, honesty and integrity, duties and responsibilities and authority, respect and courtesy.

He faces a misconduct hearing on November 25.
